At Pehchaan Welfare Society (Pehchaan NGO), we are committed to bringing meaningful change in the lives of marginalized and underprivileged communities, especially children and women. Our work revolves around three primary focus areas:
Education for All
Health & Hygiene
Women Empowerment
We believe that every individual, regardless of their socio-economic background, deserves access to quality education, healthcare, and opportunities to grow.
Project Gyan Jyoti is our flagship initiative focused on spreading light through education. We run informal learning centers and tuition programs for children aged 5 to 14 years in both urban slums and rural pockets.
Key Highlights:
Over 250+ children have received foundational literacy and numeracy support.
Distribution of free books, school kits, and digital learning content.
Weekend and holiday learning camps for dropouts and working children.
Through Gyan Jyoti, we aim to reduce dropout rates, increase enrolment, and help children transition into mainstream schooling.
Project Ankur addresses the urgent health needs of underprivileged communities by organizing regular health camps, hygiene workshops, and nutritional support programs.
Impact So Far:
150+ free health check-up camps conducted.
Distribution of sanitary pads, first aid kits, and hygiene kits.
Health awareness sessions on personal cleanliness, menstrual hygiene, nutrition, and common diseases.
Our mission is to foster a healthier community where everyone has access to basic healthcare services and information.
Project Nari is dedicated to empowering women through skill development, legal awareness, and financial literacyprograms. We train women to become self-reliant and confident contributors to society.
Major Activities:
Vocational training (stitching, craft, beauty care, digital literacy).
Financial literacy workshops and small-scale entrepreneurship guidance.
Awareness programs on women's rights and legal aid.
We’ve impacted the lives of 100+ women, enabling them to earn, educate their children, and take charge of their lives.
We believe in the power of reuse to support sustainability and human dignity. Through our regular collection and distribution drives, we:
Collect gently used clothes from donors.
Sort, clean, and repurpose them for children, elderly, and homeless communities.
Run seasonal donation drives during winters and festivals.
This initiative not only helps the needy but also promotes environmental consciousness.
Our operations are currently focused in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, but we frequently extend our services to surrounding regions and rural belts. We plan to expand across NCR and other parts of Northern India, depending on volunteer availability and funding.
We strongly believe in community participation. Many of our programs are successful due to:
Active volunteers from schools, colleges, and corporates.
Partnerships with local doctors, educators, and women-led self-help groups.
CSR collaborations and donor support.
In the coming years, Pehchaan NGO aims to:
Launch a mobile education van for rural children.
Set up a community library and health resource center.
Build digital classrooms for slum areas.
We are always evolving, listening to the community, and adapting our work to meet the real needs of the people.
Our work is only possible because of people like you. If you believe in what we do, join us as a volunteer, donor, or partner. Together, we can bring change — one step, one life, one smile at a time.
